For the past few months (and longer) I feel as if I've been stuck in a rut in every aspect of my life.  I feel like I need a completely new direction in every way.  I'm in a relationship that I'm unsure about.  Some days I feel right about it and other days I feel just the opposite.  As far as my career is concerned I don't know if I should move in a new direction or put more energy into my current career.  Everything feels like a mess to me and I'm wondering if you could shed some light on what's going on and what's coming up for me.  I'd really like some direction.

Nothing will become clear until you have sorted through the confusion inside yourself.  It is this that has manifested in your life on every level.  You do not yet know who you are, or what you really want.  There is a sense of having allowed yourself to be a bit of a doormat to others and not having personal boundaries which have become blurred or are non existant in your relationships.  This means that you do not know what feelings, thoughts and energy is truly yours, and what belongs in fact to others.  You are needing change at a soul level, and yet you are afraid to move forward because of what that change might mean - so you are stuck between two worlds or two realities and not really going anywhere.  You have believed that you must undertake a hard and arduous path in order to reach goals. There is a belief that growth is hard and difficult.  You need to change this by seeing your life as a smooth, flowing process in which the universe will always provide exactly what you need when you need it.  It is very important for you to now adopt this belief and make it your personal 'mantra'.  Saying to yourself aloud or in your mind whenever you start to feel stuck or think negatively about your situation.  Do this until it becomes a fundamental part of your thinking and everyday life.

There will be extensive change on all fronts (career, direction, relationship, personal beliefs) but this process involves first creating distinctive boundaries between what you do and do not want in your life, and mastering your fear of change.  Thus there is a timing factor involved, but you will move in a direction that is truer to you and what interests you, rather than just doing things because you believe you have to, or because you've always done it that way.  It is a departure from the security of the known, but you must have faith that it will unfold as it should. 

Spend time being still and tuning into your 'Higher Self'.  This is the divine aspect of your own nature which always knows what to do and when to do it.  It is your inner guidance system.  This kind of comunication will first appear as a high ringing tone in your ears, and then manifest as inspirational thoughts and feelings that just 'pop' into your mind. Pay close attention to these, for they will come when you are still and quiet and asking for guidance.  You will dream, and your dreams will give you more direction also.

hello everyone, I too am confused about my friend/boyfriend. At times I feel he cares very much about me, yet he keeps saying he's not ready for another serious relationship. He seems to have a hold on me for I have always been able to walk and some case run away from relationships, with much pain, but none the less, I don't look back. Yet with him, I am unable to stay away. Do you sense a future with him, or am I blinded by my desires? I would appreciate any guidance on this matter.

You really have such a lovely, vibrant energy, yet you also seem to lack a bit of confidence in yourself and so you are not fully 'in your power' so to speak.  This really is at the root of how others in the world will respond to your presence, and have done so up until now.  It also affects your ability to attract people and circumstances into your life that will be beneficial and constructive for you.  This is what your lessons are about at this time, and the area of yourself you need to reflect upon.

A large part of our life's journey is about learning more about ourselves - what makes us who we are, our origins, our beliefs, our life path and our spiritual roots.  What defines us.  The people who cross our path and our experiences always teach us more about us, even when we think it's all about them.

Therefore inner growth is like moving through continuous layers of our psyche and soul and gaining insight and knowledge by these revelations, thereby learning to emphasize the aspects of ourselves we find to be constructive and positive, and not focusing on what holds us back or makes us limited.  We can only do this in the best way we can, according to our openness and understanding at the time.  The more we gain confidence in ourselves and our truth, the more doors we open for greater opportunities to come into our lives to learn more.  If we don't challenge ourselves, we can never learn the limits of our potential (and really, there are no limits).  This is important for you to understand and embrace at this point.  You are more than what you had thought you were, and there are some wonderful discoveries about this for you to make.

I can say that if you do work on your self confidence more in this way and through your pondering on it and making changes in your thinking where necessary, and you continue on that path - there are two specific people in your future who will cross your path.  The first is someone who will teach you a great deal, but is not a life partner.  This one prepares you for future relationships.  The second is more aligned to you, and will be someone who matches you very well on so many levels.  The potential is for this one to be a very fulfilling relationship and partnership.  Both souls will cross your path whether you do the work on yourself or not, but how your relationships with them unfold will be determined by your state of being at the time, and your beliefs about yourself.  If you do the 'homework' on yourself first, you will be more ready on every level to be with them and make the relationships work successfully.  Timeframe is also determined by the choices these souls make too, but within two years, and both will cross your path fairly close together in time.

There is so much for you to learn from this situation, and all of it very valuable!.  Your soul knows this, the part of you that is God, and therefore you are still 'attached' to the scenario until you have gained what you needed to learn.  However, this being so, you will need to be prepared to accept the situation for what it is and not try to make it into what you think it should be.

It seems this man has been deeply hurt, and he still carries that pain inside and a fear of giving too much of himself to another.  He sees relationships as being too complicated for him at this time, and his fear holds him back.  But this is his lesson, and not yours.  Therefore it is not your job to make him see that he needs to move beyond it, as he must do this in his own time and way, and you must respect that.  He has not learned to let go and move on as well as you have, and this is often the way that things happen between people who cross paths.  One soul will have gained the knowledge that the other lacks and can learn by the example of the other.  If we were all the same and all at the same point in our learning, it would be a boring world indeed. 

For you this is a very different and challenging scenario, for in this one situation you do not have control over the outcome - which is what you have done in other relationships.  Therefore in this you are learning to pull your emotions and energy back and allowing things to unfold naturally as they will.  You are learning to relinquish control and accept that 'going with the flow' is sometimes the best strategy.  This is a very important lesson about control and power for you. 

I am not permitted to say whether you definitely have a future with this man, for to do so would possibly cause you to hold tightly onto that and attempt to make the situation fit the outcome without allowing him to work through things and make his own choices and at the wrong timing.  However, I can say that there are many past lives between you and this man, and there is a strong soul bond and familiarity, which accounts for your feeling of connectedness to him.  The potential here is good, so long as you just relax and stop projecting your emotions and desires onto him and forcing an outcome that he is not ready for (and nor are you yet, truth be told, for if you do come together in a relationship, it will be a powerful one).    Give him space, give it time, and just get on with enjoying your life in the present moment.  Everything will be as it is meant to be.

I'm in need of a little guidance. There is a deep hoplessness that has settled upon me that I simply can't shake! I have many moments of pur joy, I undestand the meaning of positive thinking, that I am what I make of myself, I feel that I can transform my life at will and yet...the future seems dark with only the slightest whisper of hope. I don't know what I want anymore after some traumatic experiance my hope for finding someone to love and having a family is all but lost. What is it, if you can see it, that is holding me back from seeing what my next step/what direction I should go should be?

 I am here now, because, although my personality usually keeps me from asking for the help of others (believe me, this is a barrier I wish to overcome, and although I am trying my hardest, it is difficult for me), I come to you with a question I hope you can answer.

 
I understand the power of positive thinking, and I understand as well the equal power of negative thinking, but I come to you today to ask you for your opinion on both.

 
I am normally a positive thinker, but recent events have left me thinking more negatively than I normally do.

I found through personal experience, and through the wisdom of I-ching, that one cannot fight negativity on it's own terms; by brute strength and power you simply cannot win.

But it finds a way to creep into your mind when you least expect it; it even finds a way to disguise itself as a good thing, when in reality it is the opposite.

How can you remove it completely, so it does not take hold over your soul, even in these disguises? I know that one should replace doubt with Faith; faith in yourself, faith in fate, and in whatever power holds sway over your ultimate destiny, but doubt is a terrible foe to be rid of. It destroys your faith, it destroys your courage, it destroys so much of you, and in the end, ultimately brings about the most destructive force one can experience; Fear.

So I suppose the question I bring to you, I suppose, is really: How does one destroy fear; ultimately and absolutely? And from every aspect of your life, I might add; not just one.

The only thing one has to fear, is fear itself. But because this is really the base of all worry and doubt, it is most certainly not an easy foe to be rid of.

How does one be rid of fear; and not only be rid of, but keep it from entering your soul after such extermination?

Nature has always been one of the sources of my spiritual power; its playful and yet stern force has helped me through many a trying times; the birds and their song, the wind in the trees, the rain on a summers day; such beautiful sounds and sights...

But my own mind defeats me at times; I can figure out many things with ease, and do so with a playfulness and open-mindedness that rivals that of a child, and with a seriousness that rivals that of a stern, close-minded scientist at the same time, or separately if needed...but sometimes my logical mind takes over where my intuitive mind is needed, and vise-versa...

It is also like the need for physical happiness, tugs at my equally powerful need for spiritual happiness; this blurring of the two realms leaves me exasperated... I understand both equally as well.. but I am having trouble tempering both of them together... I cannot deny that both are equally important...  

How should I approach this problem?

You are asking me in fairly broad terms to predict your 'future' and that is not exactly how this kind of thing works.  There is a reason why I have typed the following information for you, the meaning of which will become clearer as you read on.

For the purposes of your understanding, and for others who will read this - please first allow me to explain a little about how my kind of gift works....sometimes a soul will come to me and ask something,  lets say it is through this forum - and there are things their Guides have to say and have been waiting to say for some time, which I can easily relay to the person.  That information is 'close to the surface' in a manner of speaking, because it is being clearly and concisely projected into the ether (spirit) and is easily picked up by anyone with psychic and clairvoyant gift because it is like the person's Guides have left a 'cosmic email' for someone like me to pick up and pass on at exactly the right moment.

But usually, what I have to do is have something to connect me to the person - through this format for example, it would be a birth name, so that I can find you in the Book Of Life - otherwise known as the 'Akashic Records'.  This information exists in an angelic realm, and contains detailed impressions and information on each soul that has become incarnate.  It has all their lives recorded, as well as their current Life Path information.  I have to do a full private reading in that kind of scenario, because there are things about the person's life path and spiritual journey that must be delved into in depth, and cannot be relayed in a few words in a public situation.  This is then information and guidance that the person needs at that particular time in order to move forward, and for the most part, helps them to understand more of who they are, and their place in the universe.

For example:  To use an analogy here, if I may - asking people like me for detailed information on your future path is like asking me to go into the ocean and pick out a particular shell which I must find among many millions of others.  This shell must hold only your information, and even then, there may be some things written on it that I cannot tell you because it might alter your freedom of choice or influence you to take actions that you are not ready for.  That is where I (and beings like myself) must use the wisdom we ourselves have gained to sense and determine what feels right to relay to the person and what they most need to know at that time.  That comes with experience, and not just from this life either. 

It is always what that person needs to hear at that particular time, to help them move forward and change themselves and their life for the better.  The psychic or clairvoyant must work in integrity, and allow the guidance to be relayed clearly, even if it makes no sense to them.  Woe betide any practitioner who does not work in integrity and truth, and tells people things which are untrue just to make them happy!  For you always reap what you sow in such things.  What goes around, comes around, as the saying goes.

The guidance and information also holds an energy charge to it which unlocks certain knowledge in that person, helping them make realizations for themselves and have a clearer understanding of their direction.  Even through computer screens this happens, as many have found.  That is because Spirit has no limits, and neither does energy.  It simply IS.  The effects of this can go on for some time after the person has been given the information, as they work through different layers of their psyche.  It is often not what the person wants to hear.  By this, I mean that many people have pre-conceived ideas about what they want to be told, and some will go from psychic to psychic until someone gives them that information, even if it is not true or relevant.  That kind of thing helps no-one, least of all the person asking for guidance.  No-one can learn their lessons for them, and life must be lived without being privy to certain things, so that each soul can learn by their own experience, and even their mistakes too.  Practitioners are not exempt from this process and must also move through their own life lessons as they need to.  We also learn a great deal from each soul that crosses our path.

Clairvoyants and Psychics pick up these 'Cosmic emails' and can read energy patterns of people and events which they have the gift of being able to decipher, interpret and relay.  Even telepathic messages from those in Spirit take the form of energy, impressions, intuitive feelings and flashes of vision that the Psychic or Clairvoyant must relay as clearly as they can, without allowing their own beliefs or opinions to colour or alter the information.  Hence it is not a field for the faint of heart, nor for the uninitiated.  It takes experience, practice, courage and a great deal of faith to work with such gifts.  This is true of all types of clairvoyance and healing as well.

Now you are wondering - what is all this, and why is she telling me these things?  Well, it is two-fold.  Firstly, there are those who will read this whom have 'sleeping gifts' of a psychic nature whom have not yet embarked on using them in the world, and it is needed that they understand what is involved in such work and the value of who they are and what they have. 

Secondly, I relay this because this is connected to what you asked.  There is a higher purpose to your being here (on earth) at this time, and you have inherent psychic gift which is passed down on your mother's side.  It hasn't always been recognised or used by all those who have been born with it in your family line, but you do have ability there, and using it to help others (and thereby yourself) is a choice that you have in terms of life direction and 'career'.  You can make a conscious choice to delve into this further or not, and either way you will learn and grow, but being a practitioner is quite clear in your Life Path information for this life.  If you do make the choice to develop this further, things will move very fast for you.  It will be like unblocking something that has been blocked for a long time, and built up energy will be released.  Understanding will ensue.  And with that understanding comes peace.  And with that peace comes the ability to attract into your life the kind of loving relationship that you desire.  But that is not yet.  ANd so you see, things are never as they appear and often not what you expect them to be.  Yet it has been said:  "ask, and you shall be given"  "knock, and the door will open".

Yes, I can feel your sadness and your sense of hopelessness, and we have all been there one way or another.  Some of what I will say might be initially a bit hard for you to hear, but it also comes to me to say to you:  "the darkest hour is always just before the dawn".

You have pinned your hopes on a situation that was never meant to be, not in a cosmic sense  - not in the way that you had expected, and sometimes things work out that way.  It  is because we are not always able to see the bigger picture, or what is ahead around the corner in the road.  Life has taken an unexpected turn for you, the rug has been pulled out from under your feet, so to speak, but this is all for a reason. 

You are a very strong soul, with a great deal of wisdom and knowledge that will help you to move through difficulty and make a success of this life, have faith that you really can do this.  Your potential is great - spiritually as well, and your light shines strongly with what I recognise as strong clairvoyant gift.  Your thoughts are powerfully projected, and this lesson is partly about learning how you can create your reality with the tools you have been given.  There is a vision here of a phoenix rising from the ashes, and at this part in your journey, this relates to you most strongly.  I also see something connected with children.  More specifically, to do with you helping children who have had an unfortunate start in life.  There is also an image of painting with children, and using art as a kind of therapy.  There is one soul of your own to be born to you in this life, but that is not yet.  It is not clear whether you will be the biological mother, or an adopted one, but either way, this one will be most precious to you and also quite gifted.  An angelic type of soul who will need your love and guidance.

Also, please take care of your temple (body) and do not put any substances in it which will distort your emotions and thoughts and block your energy.  You know what I mean by that.  You are very sensitive to energy and open to the realms of Spirit, and you need to nurture yourself at this time.

What you need to seek now in your life is balance and peace, and this comes first with acceptance of the way things are, and also knowledge that when one door closes, another opens.  This means that although things have not worked out as you imagined, it is because there is a better and greater plan for you ahead.  I can tell you this with absolute truth.

I too have difficulty asking others for help, and it is indeed an important lesson to learn for we all need some outside reflection and guidance from time to time.  Being too insular can be very limiting.

I am glad that you have asked this, and raised this point, for it is a very powerful and relevant issue, not just for you but for all of humanity.

Firstly, let us look at the nature of 'Fear' and its purpose for being present in the human psyche.  Initially, the sensation and emotion of fear was hard-wired into the human psyche for the purposes of survival, for without fear, a being in physical form cannot know to escape from that which may threaten or kill him.  He would take unnecessary risks that would not ensure the survival of his species.  So this is fear interpreted as a 'fight or flight' mechanism, and it still serves that purpose to this day, although its expression has become somewhat warped. 

So this leads us to understand that the sensation and emotion of 'fear' has evolved into something else within the human psyche, just like ego did.  Yet even this is a part of the Divine Plan.  This warping occurred because of the complexity of human nature and the human psyche, because of Free Will, and because some souls discovered a way to use this mechansim as a means to threaten and have power over others. 

Some beings with manipulative intentions (both human and not) recognised it as a way to give others a sense of 'powerlessness' which would prevent them from protecting themselves simply by knowing nothing could penetrate their power in a negative way without them allowing it.  Humans experiencing such fear feel and believe themselves to be vulnerable and powerless, and thus they become so. Yet this is an illusion, the greatest one that any human soul will ever face.    In essence, there are only TWO states of being the human soul is capable of experiencing and expressing:  LOVE and FEAR.  Everything they express and experience are variations of one of those two essential energies.  They represent the nature of duality, or the 'split' in the human psyche. 

Fear leaves humanity open to being preyed upon, attacked, manipulated, or being consumed by their own Shadow Side.  This is because their beliefs become their reality.  Every soul has a Shadow Side, because this was part of the experience of Duality, which is particualr to earth at this time.  This is because God, the Creator, wished to allow humanity to discover for themselves the nature of Divinity by learning to balance in harmony their own dual natures.

Thus, Tim, there is no 'doing away' with fear, or 'extermination' of it, for it is a necessary part of the human experience.  It is hard-wired into the human psyche, and is part of the plan of what is unfolding here on earth at this time.  It is in learning to transmute fear (and we are talking about 'unhealthy' fear here, not the kind used for survival) into something constructive and positive, rather than negative, that true growth occurs. 

Energy is just energy, it has no charge either way but is given 'charge' or definition, by the one who generates and projects it.  What that energy becomes and how it manifests is dependant on the intentions and beliefs of the soul that is generating it.  Thus it is influenced by the Will and also the morals and values of each soul.   

The Will is so strong in humanity that it enables them at times to have what would be termed 'superhuman' power, and the ability to overcome great odds.  The only force with a greater Will than humanity is God.  And so you see that God created something at once powerful, and very complex, when he created humanity.  A being that had the capacity to allow their fears to cause self-destruction, but conversely, had the ability to allow their Divine Light and the power of love to transform them into something even greater than Angels.  It is a paradox, but one that holds the key to great transformation.

Human souls are the only ones on this earth who have the means and capacity to question their existence, and the nature of their beings.  Animals and plants do not do this.  A lion does not stop to wonder at the moral rightness of killing antelope.  A tree does not stop and question the process by which it grows from a seed into a mature tree.  Animals and plants simply are what they are, and do what they do without question and with absolute faith.  There is a lesson in that too.  Yet incarnate souls on this earth have to question their existence and nature, for that is a part of their unique discovery and growth process.  They were designed to do this.  But it is not something to get tied up in knots over, for the answers come easily if you are still and open, and you pay attention to what is around you.

Each soul learns to understand and define their own boundaries by exploring what happens when they think 'negatively' and when they think 'positively'.  It is necessary to understand how thought and energy generated by each person influences the physical realm, and sometimes the spiritual ones as well, for it is all interconnected.  Only in seeing what happens with each can someone then choose to influence their thoughts more one way than the other, and it is a personal choice and act of Will.  So what is being said here, is that no-one should be too hard on themselves for thinking negatively, or even undertaking actions that would seem to have a negative influence.  You don't loose brownie points by doing so!.  You do, however, come to understand that you are responsible for your actions, and must at some point be accountable for them.

In time, one learns to mentally and emotionally deliberately hold and amplify the constructive and positive thoughts, feelings and actions.  You have to first recognize what these are, their roots, and look at why they keep coming up in your experience.  Are there any repeating patterns?  If so, what are they teaching or showing you?

You learn not to focus on what is negatively charged, for it will give it more power.  Thus you still have the negative thoughts, feelings and fears coming up, but you can deal with them rapidly and neutralize their effects using this approach. 

This is something that all souls know at a higher level, but forget during the course of their lives in the physical realm. 

And the reason why you feel that physical life is just as important as the spiritual levels is because it IS.  That is why you are in the flesh, so that you can explore its possibilities and its limits, and thus unlock more pieces of the puzzle to understanding who you really are.  It is possible to be physical, to have all the things that this entails, as well as be a spiritual being.  You don't need to be a hermit on a hill living away from humanity to acheive spiritual wisdom, as that would only be one part of the puzzle.  It is necessary also to be 'in the world'.  To have relationships and interact with others, because other people and living things around us are our mirrors to the soul, and teach us much. 

And so it is, that the key to this for you is to get out of the mentality of DENIAL.  To stop limiting yourself and being so harsh on yourself, and learn to accept and integrate everything that you are.  Don't be afraid of your power.  You are not going to 'run amok' simply because you are exploring your Shadow Side!.  You have too much wisdom for that, and your inner sense of justice and rightness would prevent you from truly crossing any lines from which you believe you could not return.  You have crossed these 'lines 'before in other times, and it is my sense that you are afraid of it happening again.  It will not, because you have grown so much more since then.  It is important to realize that it is okay to  sometimes feel afraid, angry, sad, resentful .... all of those things are a part of you, just like the good things are too.  Once you accept that, and relax, and learn to focus on the positive aspects more, changing and refining what needs to be changed and refined,  you will find balance, joy and peace.

Yes, Too often I am more harsh on myself than I should be, and too often the fear of crossing those 'lines' becomes warped and twisted into an ugly beast of its own. You have not only confirmed many things a part of me already knew, deep down inside, but you have given me a fresh perspective on the whole situation, and for this, and all of your help, I truly thank you.

My negativity turns into negativity; I think negatively about my thinking negatively, which just keeps going and going, until I feel my mind swirling around and around, trying to get its bearings in the dark.

I must do some self reflection on this matter then; I need to weed out the sources of all of my irrational fears and concerns; not the ones of survival, the irrational ones, as you say. But I must remember not to be so hard on myself... but it is so difficult! It is as if this part of me is undeniable... 

Things aren't as easy as they once were; ignorance, as they say, is bliss. And as I have matured from the free-spirited childlike innocence that I once possessed at the beginning of my journey,  this ignorance was turned into wisdom; but even this has its own share of pitfalls... the path I walk is not an easy one... it is so easy to lose oneself in fears, doubts, negativity, and the like, and every time I think I have trounced that damnable pessimism, it pops up again, and too often in the most unlikely of places!

I will take your words to heart, Anakya; once again the community on this site has helped me immensely; and your wisdom will not be forgotten, I assure you.
