For some reason today, anything that is the color red has significantly stood out to me. Whether it be cars, posters, signs, front doors, cups, candles - Ive noticed almost every RED item that has come across my path.

This has never happened before.

Does anyone know if this has some type of spiritual meaning? Or am I just being over observant? Its bothering me. Please share your thoughts.

I noticed no one has answered you...... so I will try in my very limited capacity......

to me the colour 'Red' reminds me of the 'root chakra' this as you well may know is an important energy point corresponding to the end of our physical body at the very end of the spine (the sit-bone area, lol ) As you know we humans have seven chakras or energy centres and their colours correspond to the seven colours of the rainbow.

if you have been more aware of this one colour then I would suggest that perhaps your inner self is trying to tell you to connect more and replenish that chakra with the corresponding colour so as to be more in balance with your etheric self..... Your aura could very well do with a boost of colour and you will soon begin to feel its benefits as colours have a healing influence on our physical body too.
